Ajwa dates have a reputation as the 'King of Dates. They are deliciously soft, of a decent size and have a fine texture. Imported from Madinah Al-Munawwarah, packed and distributed in Singapore by Ideal's Souq.
Some of the best-known dates originate in Saudi Arabia. Ajwa Dates originates from the palm tree found in Al-Madina (the holy city of Islam), where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ lived. One of the oldest trees on earth, these trees can grow as much as 12 inches every year to 100 feet tall.
They're the best kind of date to eat. Buttery in texture, they have a mild caramel flavour and satisfy the craving for something sweet in your stomach. When you bite into one, it almost melts on your tongue.
